"A Rail University - New Delhi recognises the importance of skills development within the railway industry”

21th Jul 2014

Following the Rail Budget 2014-2015, New Delhi’s Railway Minister, Sadananda Gowda, has expressed his interest in the development of skills. For this reason, the Minister is considering setting up a Railway University for both technical and non-technical subjects.

In an attempt to strengthen the railway system within the nation it has been proposed that railway operators collaborate with technical institutions. This would facilitate the introduction of railway-related subjects which would not only allow professionals to widen their skills and knowledge but also allow graduates to learn about the railway industry.
