Digital freight train partnership formed

SNCF Logistics and maritime freight technology company Traxens have announced a partnership to develop technology for monitoring and real-time tracking of freight trains. This follows a year of research and testing of digital equipment for use in the rail environment.

Israel: works completed for Karmiel-Akko rail line

The Israeli Ministry of Transportation has announced the completion of the Karmiel-Akko railway line and the start of trial runs on the line. The line was built by the Netivei Israel National Transport Infrastructure Co. Ltd. The cost of the project was NIS 2.8 billion (713 million euros).
