Why did you choose to work for the rail industry?
I have always been interested in and fascinated by railways. My interest in engineering and technical issues fits with railway field too.
What inspired you at the time and what influenced your choice?
The work at the university gives my the chance to combine research aspects in railway field and to pass on that knowledge to young people/students and motivate them to be interested in the railways. Also, an uncle of mine was a railway man and influenced my interest for railways in my childhood.
How does it feel to be in the rail industry? Are your expectations fulfilled?
It is a fantastic feeling to work for one of the most sustainable and environmentally friendly (green) transport modes.
What are the challenges?
Railway sector was a major innovation driver over the last century. One big challenge is to keep this position in comparison to e.g. automobile industry.
What is a talent? Why the rail industry should engage with talents?
Talent is… when people are motivated and excited to find useful solutions for various problems. Talents are needed to make systems excellent.
