Rail has entered an exciting period as a result of unprecedented investment and expansion. This transformation provides rail with the unique opportunity to embrace change and improve age diversity in the rail workforce, and we believe that everyone has a role to play in the journey.
The ARA’s Young Rail Professionals Forum aims to recognise the value, importance and qualities of young professionals in the rail sector. Collectively, the rail sector must harness the right skills required for the future, to ensure the industry’s viability and relevance.
Young rail professionals and managers are encouraged to participate, network and gain wisdom from a diverse panel of speakers, including representatives from the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC), Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure SA, Bombardier and Aurecon who will provide insights on the:
- Value of age and gender diversity in the workforce
- Job and organisational aspects that attract young professionals
- Value of new skills versus experience
- The importance of future technologies and disruptive thinking.
