Why did you choose to work for the rail industry?
Because in my country, Brazil, we have a lot of work to do to increase the share of railways in Brazilian transportation matrix.
What inspired you at the time and what influenced your choice?
The range of skills involved in the design, implementation and operation of a railway are quite diverse and instigate the continuous search for knowledge.
How does it feel to be in the rail industry? Are your expectations fulfilled?
I feel that I will always have something to contribute and to learn in the rail industry, but in the other hand, sometimes it is frustrating that rail industry changes so slow in Brazil. Considering this context, actually my expectations are half fulfilled.
What are the challenges?
The main challenges in my opinion are the developing of new markets, services, technologies and the education of qualified professionals.
What is a talent? Why the rail industry should engage with talents?
Talent is the guy that helps to promote and implement the new rail: new opportunities, new markets, new technologies, new qualified professionals. Rail industry should engage with talents to be constantly changing, improving your efficiency and increasing your market, contributing for a more sustainable world.
