(Senior) Researcher Mobility Technology (40 h)

With more than 3,200 students in six departments, the St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences is a key player in the Austrian higher education sector and one of the most important employers in the region. The St. Pölten UAS stands for unique design possibilities as well as team-oriented and interdisciplinary collaboration and leaves room for individual growth and personal development. The University of Applied Sciences is constantly growing. We are looking for a dedicated person for the development of a new research focus at the Carl Ritter von Ghega Institute for Integrated Mobility Research in the field of digitalisation and automation. 

What you will be working on

  • You are responsible for the development, the design and subsequently the coordination of a new research focus in the field of digitalisation and automation in the mobility sector
  • You stimulate and initiate RDI activities
  • You are responsible for the ongoing acquisition of third-party funds
  • You head and carry out research projects
  • You hold international lectures and publish papers in your technical field
  • You head your own courses in the medium term

What we expect from you

  • Completed master or diploma degree programme in the area of natural sciences or technology (ideally PhD, but not a requirement)
  • Professional or research experience in the fields of digitalisation and automation in mobility
  • Very good German and English proficiency
  • Experience in lecturing activities and scientific publication
  • Experience in the development, acquisition and implementation of projects
  • Good networking in science/research/economy
  • Leadership skills, ability to work in a team, innovation spirit and enthusiasm
