I AM/SEARCH RAILTALENT
Founding member of the Open Recognition Alliance, Serge Ravet spent most of his professional life exploring the contribution of digital technologies to the empowerment of individuals and communities and their impact on educational and social innovation. The issue of recognition is at the heart of a work that led him exploring through numerous international projects the potential of portfolios, ePortfolios and Open Badges, but also the issues related to digital identity and trust. Laureate in 2015 of the Digital Media Learning Trust Challenge awarded by the MacArthur Foundation, this lead to the development of the Open Badge Passport and the publication of the Bologna Open Recognition Declaration (2016). Previously he contributed to the creation of the European Institute for E-Learning (EIfEL, 2001), the European Foundation for Quality in E-Learning (EFQUEL, 2008) and the Internet of Subjects Forum (IoS Forum, 2010). Since 2003, he is the organiser of of ePIC, an international conference that in 2018 will address “Building Open Recognition Ecosystems” as a contribution to the international “Open Recognition Week.”
