Why did you choose to work for the rail industry?
It is expected the railway market will expand in the next few years and I want to be part of this change. With so many opportunities in this field, it is an exciting time to join it.
What inspired you at the time and what influenced your choice?
My main influence was RailNewcastle, an erasmus intensive programme in Newcastle University, where I had the chance to work with several professors with comprehensive experience in railway and logistics. It opened my horizons and allowed me to begin to understand the complex system of railways.
How does it feel to be in the rail industry? Are your expectations fulfilled?
Working in this field comes with a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment since we are working to provide better transport systems and bring quality of life to people.
What are the challenges?
The main challenge is the complexity of the rail system.
What is a talent? Why the rail industry should engage with talents?
Talent is the ability to bring together what you love to do with the existing job opportunities. It is important to attract young people to the field in order to develop and innovate.
